The Dark Young update is fantastic, tho I already had a lot of fun with the base game!It's a must have for Lovecraft fans and especially for those who like dark humor!. I've played two games of it, and it takes a little bit of time to fully appreciate that you need to deduce what roles the cultist skillset you're building is best suited to. The more familiar you become with the game, the better you're going to be at identifying those roles and building towards them. It can seem frustrating and arbitrary at first, and some skills improvements are harder to come by than others, but it is definitely fun and well written, and I could see how playing with (and backstabbing) friends' efforts in local multiplayer could be enjoyable as well.It's quick to play through, and with each playthrough you earn points that can help future playthroughs be easier, but if summoning elder gods from the nethers is too easy, everyone'd be doing it.AS THEY SHOULD.Once you're confident in the story structure of the game, writing your own for the benefite and enjoyment by (or, perchance, doomed detriment of?) your friends is a no brainer!. Fun game. The different options and choices that occur throughout the game keep things interesting. It is fun figuring out what is required to bring about the end time in the game. Definitely recommend checking it out.
